Help my Martin Float ?!

What aircraft have you been unable to find after a long search? There may be an answer!

Help my Martin Float ?!

Postby Capt.Po » Mon Oct 31, 2005 10:57 pm

I LOVE Tom Millers Martin Mars JRM-1 flying boat.

http://www.simviation.com/members/fs98vintage17.htm

The problem is, is it doesn't float because its a FS98.  I would really like to see somebody update this great airplane to FS2004.  I can give all the specs to whom ever decides to tackle this project.  I am just a pilot, and have no ability or talent to create.  The best I can do is install some scenery and aircraft.  Any help would be appreciated. Thanks guys!!

Well, Mr. Po, first things first: if you are going to post a link on these forums, please make it so we don't have to be members to access it.

But to take a wild stab, why don't you open up the Aircraft.cfg for that aircraft using notepad.  Scroll down until you see a section labled [contact_points] and post it here.  That will give us something to work with.

My first time posting. I checked the cfg file an couldn't find the contact points.  Here's what I found though:

The problem here is that FS98 (and 2000) copies very little info from the air file into the .cfg. To get the contact points to show in the .cfg, you'd need to load the plane in FS2002 or 2004 and then post the contact point section of the new cfg file that 2002/4 will create automatically.
