"Switchblade" Aircraft

I have recently seen the movie "Stealth" and was intrigued to fly that jet.  I have found out that the military has a jet close to the "FA-37 Talon",  the "Switchblade".  here is the link for the "Switchblade", can anyone maybe help or create this jet?   i'm not sure if it has a tailhook, but can there be one for carrier ops?http://www.area51zone.com/aircraft/switchblade.shtml

why not get a F-14 tomcat.  I mean, seriously, that switchblade bs looks like a crappy tomcat.  I honestly don't belive it exists.  First of all, its way too big and heavy.  Secondly, it looks like it would create too much drag.  It looks to me like it is just someones Idea of a futuristic, backwards tomcat.

lol it does look like a tomcat with its wings on backwards, lol hate to say but you'd be better off asking for an X-29, at least some people would have an idea of what it is.

I'm sorry to bring up a "dead thread", but I thought I would shed a little light on this using something I found today.  Jakemaster might find this enlightening.

There is a patent by Northrop Grumman to build an aircraft with the exact specifications of having a forward-swept, variable-geometry wing.

yes, i understand its patented.  But its the people that are like "this is at area 51" that I hate.  Like the aurora.  Total BS!  It doesnt exist, never has, never will.  We don't need it.

Who, exactly, is "we"?  The FS community?  I think having that aircraft around might be interesting.  After all, there are plenty of downloads out there that just don't exist in real life.  But that doesn't stop them from being loads of fun . . .

Even though I have never modeled an airplane for a sim I think it would be extremely difficult to make something when there are no pictures of what the thing even looks like. And if it looks anything like the diagrams on the first page, it certainly wins my vote for the ugliest plane ever.

Oh, and btw, just because grumman has a patent for the design, it doesn't that they have, are, or ever will build one of these things. And when you go searching for planes, use something credible such as www.globalaircraft.org, not this "look what they have at area 51" crap.  You can not get close enough to area 51 to see the airfeild unless you want to be leaving in a body bag. Also why would the military put a black project at Cannon AFB, 6 miles away from a modest size city, when they could put it in the middle of nowhere at Groom Lake?

Also, there is one, possible 2 aircraft on thier "black aircraft" list that officially dont exist. The Auroura, and the Suntan, im not sure about the governments position on the suntan. And the Suntan was supposedly built in the 50's to replace the U2? Thats odd, as the U-2 didnt fly until 1955.

One of the best things about Flight Simulator is the fact that it can support (most) any and all concepts - however wild (flying toilets anyone?)

If one wants to limit one's OWN experience to just those aircraft that are "real" , then so be it.

I dare say that the vast majority of flight simulator enthusiasts harbor the thought of flying that elusive concept ....

Though I have yet to see a download of a twin engined Lockheed Tristar - it was in the plans.

How about the MD-12?  It would be nice if someone modelled it....  Well I'll have to settle for the closest thing, an Airbus A-380.

OR - and here I'll revert to my youth - a Spitfire Mk.27 with a Bristol Hercules engine!  3x 20mms and 2x12.7mm guns!

Whether a particular concept is my cup of tea or not is immaterial, it may be someone's.

I think  that the limitation on the concept planes is the flightsim engine itself, not the flightsimmer's imagingation!
