Colonial Vipers

What aircraft have you been unable to find after a long search? There may be an answer!

Kevin, you've only been drooling for that long because you checked out the projects page on my old website...it's only been a few months that actual work and progress were evident. :)

You can be patient a bit longer.

Progress is being made!

Actually, one of the members here at SimV (Microlight) made me a thruster tail (smoke effect) that works like a charm...now I just have to keep working to sort out the other pieces. :)

If I had any concept whatsoever on how to make directional thrusters...they might get included on the MarkII from the new BSG. Until then...no. :)

I'm very slow I know. :(

It's always been a problem with my design when I want them to be good quality.

Fox,
There's no such thing as slow when quality is concerned.I have over a year in my newest Jupiter2 release (The Guy Williams Commemorative Model).Flashing computer lights,Hatch buttons that work, spinning Radars,ect.... .If you get a chance checkout my LiS Spacepod,it has thruster effects.I know the Viper will be worth waiting for.Well back to work on the LiS Rocketbelt.

I'm hopelessly behind on my downloads...I will have to check out the pod...maybe even steal the thrusters...with approval of course. :)

Those images are hotlinked from their site.

Have you gotten their permission to do that?

The final link at the bottom of your post would be fine, but the images are stealing their bandwidth unless your changed them to links.

yes they ok'ed it.

If you check the Scifi.com battlestar galactica forms, you would see they hotlink from their site all the time, and have given permission for anyone to do the same (since they are looking for people to help them).

EDIT: Well, I see someone deleted my post so...anyway, I guess this was for FS9 only vipers.

I do have one BTW.  The guys from that site converted over on of the 3D Studio Max models they made for use in FS9.  I would share it, but it was a gift, and since I haven't been given a offical 'ok' (since you seem to be fairly legal minded), I don't think I should share it.

Now when you say "share", I hope you were not speaking of my Viper Mk2 model Bschott. :)

It would be nice if the Freespace - BSG project were first FINISHED before our models are ported all over the internet gaming communities without our permission.

All I ask for is common courtesy.

If asked, I would be more than open to my models being ported over to other games, but not until we finish our project.

Oh no..it was the Viper Mk VII, and it was a "just for you, just don't upload it anywhere yet" deal done back in March or April.

I was wondering how that conversion was coming along...I haven't heard anything from my friends over there on it, and I am starting to worry.  No new screenshot, no beta... (cause remember back a few months ago there was talk of releasing just a "Hand of God" mission as a teaser),  I do hope that it pans out!
