Spruce Goose!!!!!

What aircraft have you been unable to find after a long search? There may be an answer!

Spruce Goose!!!!!

Postby RichieB16 » Wed Feb 06, 2002 10:22 pm

Can somebody please make a new H-4 Spruce Goose.  The newest model is for FS98 and I think it was converted form a FS5 plane.  I feel the game really needs a new one especially since FS2002 supports sea planes.

I think the main problem is findin 3 views of the aircraft to reference designs

How can you say the Spruce Goose flys like crap, it never got the chance to prove itself.  Infact, the day it flew-it wasn't even supposed to (it was just a taxi test but Hughes wanted to prove it could fly).  The reason it never flew again was it wasn't needed, since WWII was already over a giant flying cargo boat wasn't needed so it was never put into production.  It was sent to a hanger and finally put into a museum in the 1970s.

Yes, its altitude was only 70 feet.  But, that flight was only 1 mile and lasted less than 1 minute.

IF YOU RUN THE GOOSE'S SPECS THROUGH AN AIRCRAFT DESIGN PROGRAM(LIKE AAA OR GA-CAD), IT'S PERFORMANCE IS DAMN GOOD. I HAVE A POSTER SIZE 3 VIEW WITH DIMENSIONS AND A FLIGHT MANUAL. HOW DO GET THE DRAWING TO SOMEONE WHO COULD DESIGN THE GOOSE FOR FS2K2?

You would have to scan them into your computer and save it as an image file of somekind (.jpg, .gif, ect.).  Then you could simply email it to somebody that wants to make it.

 :D TO RICHIEB16;
YOU SUGGESTED I MAKE A (.TIF) FILE OUT OF THE SPRUCE GOOSE POSTER. I DID THAT. NOW , HOW DO I FIND SOMEONE WHO IS INTERESTED IN DESIGNING THE BIRD IN FS2K2 OR CFS2?

Yeah, now you need to find someone who wants/knows how to build one.  They can use the images as backgrounds to build the plane over.

I f Spruce Goose hasn't been made for FS2000/FS2002, could it possibly be that nobody is intersted in building one (yet)?
