I was a good 109 pilot in the older sims, and I'm wondering if there is a good one for FS2004?

yes Sky Unlimited Productions BF 109 F-4 is great its payware and i love it

Hey Andrew, you can find a Bf 109E/F, here http://www.fsimzone.com/new/downloadview-details-2379-Messerschmitt_Bf-109_Collection_..html this model was converted from CFS to FS9.

If you like that package there is also a FW-190 Package exactly the same style! Former CFS planes..But they do look good!
