Microlight or Ultralight

What aircraft have you been unable to find after a long search? There may be an answer!

Microlight or Ultralight

Postby jbvoges » Sun Sep 05, 2004 2:59 am

I'm searching for a worthwhile microlight or ultralight for FS9. I'd lprefer one (hey, or dozens!) with VC, either two- or three axis.

Any clues?

For some reason, it's well hidden away but there is the Gliders and Ultralights section right here at SimV.

This is the latest page:

http://www.simviation.com/fsgliders_11.htm

The section covers FS98 to FS9 as there isn't enough to warrent Sim-specific sections.

Ah, so that's where they are hiding. Thanks Gnome, had a sniff there: a couple of gliders I'll be pulling down, but thin on FS9 microlights...

Oh I don't know, that Minus One is pretty good...  ;-)

I tried the Minus One - niiice!

It really is a pleasant surprise. I thoroughly enjoyed the technical background that's provided and hope the originator scrapes the cash together to build a prototype one day. A fine effort - no give us one with more power!

LOL! Sorry mate, I couldn't remember the name at the end of the readme and was far too lazy to open it again.

Spent hours drifting about the trees with the Minus One last night. As somebody who works in the design industry, I really loved the structure. Do you fly radio control craft? It would me great to see the pilot pod move when the joysitck moves!

Looking forward to version 2.

... and photographs of the prototype.

Cheers,
Bernard

I DO need to do an animated pilot as I have a few projects that feature very exposed pilots and having them sit rigidly isn't quite good enough.

Some movement of the pod would add a little realism but Minus One ISN'T weight-shift so no need for dramatic movement.

I do fly R/C (also unusual projects...) and have had an interest in full size design for 40 years.  I'm mostly obsessed with micro helicopters these days.  :-)

'Bout time that Mitchel Wing was updated for FS2002/FS9 y'know...  ;-)

It's still one of my favourites.
