I'm just throwin this out in the open, after asking a few developers this always gets thrown back the subject of developing a DC3 Float Version, the idea came up when I came across this picture. would anyone out there would be interested in editing the MDL file for the default DC3 or developing a float versionpreferably with a VCImage

The MAAM folks are working on a float version of their DC-3/R4D. I think you'll have to have the payware bird for it to work. www.maam.org

It's from this site.

I asked the question in another forum and was told that it's actually the default Caravan Amphib with the default DC-3 pasted on top of it.

That picture is an Edit... a nice one, but the 'float DC-3' is a pure floatplane, and MAAM is doing it (payware but worth it)

definately an edit..

.. and you cant just edit configs to have the floats on the dak unfortunately. sure some real daks had huge mofo floats BUT the difference is in the model, which cant be r-engineered; nor does anybody have the default aircraft source.

best bet is to wait for maam i thinks  ;)
