OLD Red Arrows Jet

What aircraft have you been unable to find after a long search? There may be an answer!

OLD Red Arrows Jet

Postby xFLAMESx » Thu May 27, 2004 9:26 pm

Does anyone know where I can get a Hawker Siddeley/Folland Gnat?

I can't find them anywhere :'(

I'd love to fly one, but I guess the demand really is great enough - would anybody be kind enough to design one for me?

I would especially like it in Red Arrows Colors and compatible with CFS  8)

Carl have you tried the FS2k model? Its available at http://www.simviation.com/fs2000military22.htm a lot of the 2k models work fine in FS9 ;)

I'll still try it - but it looks too detailed for CFS and may eat my frame rate - if it works at all.  ::) ???

Try it by all means. I would not expect FSDS models to work in CFS1.

PS. It helps to specify the version of the sim you want aircraft for.

Good point - whoops lmao  ;D

Anyways I tryed it and it works - kinda.
It has no sounds - tho I can just alias them,
Most of it is transparent - that's really annoying
BUT,
It flies - that's all that matters to me.

Would like someone to do a CFS(1) version tho :)

Carl try looking for an FS98 version that might work (they tend to port well to CFS1) ;)
We haven't got a 98 version, but other sites might...

Many thanx Oz,

I tried a rival site (won't mention their name) and found one, it's not in The Reds colors but - ah well at least it works properly.  :D :)

I'm going to make one to celebrate the 0th aniversarry of the Red Arrows (next year). It will be a double pack, with a hawk as well, and both Red Arrows!
Unfortunatly, I cannot offer support for CFS1, but it should work.

If there's a chance it MIGHT work then i will gamble on it :)
I'm guessing it will be for FS2K2/2K4 - which means i'll still be able to fly it anyways ;D

I hate to disappoint you but if it's being created with FSDS2 (or Gmax) for FS2002/4 I doubt very much it will work in CFS1 - or CFS2 come to that. In fact I'm almost certain of it.
