Boeing Sonic Cruiser?

What aircraft have you been unable to find after a long search? There may be an answer!

Boeing Sonic Cruiser?

Postby gladiator » Fri Apr 16, 2004 7:06 pm

I downloaded a FS 2002 Boeing Sonic Cruiser to use with FS 2004. When I went to fire it up, a message came up saying that some parts of the aircraft would not work with FS 2004. The textures did not appear, and the sound seemed messed up, since on the runway I heard the sound a propeller plane makes, no jet sound.
I was wondering if anyone knows of another version or of any other Sonic Cruiser add ons, or if anyone is thinking about updating the FS 2002 Sonic Cruiser? This is an awsome plane and I really want to fly it. I just bought a DVD at the discovery store called "21st Century Flight" and it had an entire section on the Sonic Cruiser. It would be awsome to see this thing in FS 2004 with animated control surfaces.  ;D

Too bad this design is currently just sitting on the shelf. Boeing realized that the commercial airlines did not want a new fast airplane, they something more efficient...aka 7E7 (which is also a very nice design)

Boeing's Sonic Cruiser page currently reads:

"Boeing is focusing its product development efforts on a super efficient airplane. This is the airplane that airline customers around the globe agree will bring the best value to an industry in need of improved performance. The advanced technologies that allowed the Sonic Cruiser configuration to provide 15 to 20 percent faster flight at today
