Boeing 7E7?

What aircraft have you been unable to find after a long search? There may be an answer!

Boeing 7E7?

Postby gladiator2004 » Mon Dec 22, 2003 7:01 pm

I ran a search here and at some other FS addon sites, but I have not been able to find the Boeing 7E7. Does anyone have an addon of it or know where I can find one?

Thanks

As far as I know, there would be no permission needed from Boeing.  It isn't as though its a secret.

But if that's the case, maybe I should be getting a REALLY GOOD lawyer! ;)

I didn't think that they had finalised the design for the 7E7 yet? Difficult to model if it keeps changing!

Season's greetings all!

I am a member of boeing's world design team for the new 7E7. Go here to check out all the latest info about it.

I would also like to have one for FS9, but as mentioned above I don't think it is possible until the design is finalized.

Hopefully someday we will see one in FS9. There is just something about the shape of that aircraft I just love.

Do you know when Boeing is aiming to finalize the design? They must be close, take a look at this press release, http://www.boeing.com/news/releases/2003/q4/nr_031216g.html makes it kind of seem that they are getting close if it is being approved. Hopefully we will see the finalized design soon.

I've been looking at some pictures on the Boeing 7E7 website, the interior of this aircraft is just as beautiful and unique as the exterior. Largest windows ever, largest overhead storage bins. It looks really comfortable. The Airbus 380 may be the largest but it looks like Boeing is putting out the best airplane for the passenger.

I know exactly what you mean Gladiator...I too would love one for FS2004/CFS2.

If you click the link I posted above you can see that the current schedule is as follows:
Launch (1st customers)   is early 2004
Assembly begins in 2005
first flight is in 2007
entry into service (delivery to 1st customers) 2008

Of course that is all subject to change but it looks like its gonna be awhile before we see one of these in the skies.
Also I would like to note that anyone can join the world design team by going to the site I listed and clicking the design team link

One of the latest issues of Air International (I believe the December 2003 edition) came with a 3-view and tentative specs of the 7E7, for any interested.

You can e-mail Key Publishing/Air International to see if they'll let you have the 3-view.

2008 isn't too bad. I follow the space program really closely, and I am really into there latest replace the shuttle program called the Orbital Space Plane (which can also be a capsule) and that won't be ready until 2010-2012, now that's a long time, especially when your making and OSP Capsule addon for Orbiter and you want to see how accuate you got in making it, and you can't see that until 2012...the creator of the 7E7 is probably gonig to feel the same way. But when that first 7E7 takes to the sky, the creator of that addon gets to have all the fun in seeing how close they did get it, and from what I have seen put out for FS it is going to be really close. So I would like to wish good luck to whoever does decide to do this project.

The World Design Team sounds fun and interesting, but unfortunatley I'm not 18 yet. >:(

I click on the link KnightStryker provided, and then found the World Design Team link, read the little blurb, and then couldn't figure out where to click next!

Some help here, please? :-[

Hi,

Project SkyWorks will make a Boeing 7E7 but as we asked Boeing, they say that there is not enough sufficient information to finalise the drawings. We will start as soon as enough data is provided. Thanks.
