My Airport ICAO changed

Postby Skittles » Wed Dec 16, 2009 2:40 pm

My home airport's IACO code has changed from O70  to JAQ.

I've updated my modified airport but now they both show in the airports list.  The stock airport scenery is suppressed however the runway and taxiways are still present.

How can I suppress the stock O70 airport?

Thanks,

Joe

Joe,

Quote from AFX User Manual:[quote]...If you are modifying a stock airport and change it
At that time [1909] the chief engineer was almost always the chief test pilot as well. That had the fortunate result of eliminating poor engineering early in aviation.

[quote]...The sim identifies airports, stock and mods, by their ID as read from within the .bgl files. (has nothing to do with the .bgl file names). The sim does not see JAQ as a mod of the default O70. but rather as a 'new' airport.

Though you can't eliminate O70, you can create a mod for it and remove all the unwanted elements (except the Ref.Point).

Make sure you name your JAQ bgl so it doesn't get overwritten.
