Mesh Creation

Hi,

I am having trouble understanding how to make terrain mesh in SBuilder.

I would prefer to use the USGS Seamless server GeoTiff or bil files for this.

Is there anyone who can give me a quick run through (or a full tutorial, if you have time :) )?

FS9 or FSX? I know SBuilderX does not create "large scale" mesh terrain for FSX and it's been too long ago to recall much about SBuilder 2.06. SBX allows you to modify terrain with different vertice altitudes, but that's small scale stuff.

In FSX, the Resample SDK tool creates mesh terrain and a GeoTiff is an acceptable source. But it must be in a different format from what the USGS Seamless server spits out. There are tools, pay and free, that could change the projection and datum to what the FSX SDK requires.
