Airfield Mesh Issue =S

Postby Prasopchai » Mon Nov 03, 2008 8:50 pm

Hi. Sorry if this kind of question has been asked already. :o

After successfully designing UK's EGNJ Humberside Airport, using AFX, to a more realistic version and so that it'll fit inline with JustFlight's VFR Vol 4, I went on to edit EGNB Brough, near Hull, on the other side of the Humber River, which is also covered by the same VFR pack.

Now I realised that EGNJ was a small international airport and EGNB being just an airfield, which now no longer accepts private flying, that more attention would be paid to the more used airports than the lesser ones. JustFlight increased the height of EGNJ slightly to make it fit. Fair enough.

But they haven't with EGNB:

Note how the default FSX Default grass strip runs directly through the river Humber, tut tut. ::)

So, my question being, is there any simple way of being able to flatten the ground/mesh so that the grass strip (and taxiways north of active runway) and be placed without being rasied or without being buried? I've tried looking at Ground 2k4, which I assume might not be compatible with FSX, but for some reason that doesn't seem to execute. Any tips would be helpful. Cheers
