Requesting a beta tester

Postby Puchu » Sun Sep 09, 2007 5:04 pm

For a small addon airport. I just need to make sure everything works properly on another machine before I upload.

Part of the airport includes a waterdock on a small lake.. I have some scenery addons installed so I'm not sure if the lake may even
exist with stock scenery. So I need to verify that, verify that autogen isn't messing anything up. (I had problems with exclusions early on.. should
be fine now) And need to make sure the AI traffic is fine.. and anything else..

I'll send the file via email for whomever is up for it. It's zipped.. just have to throw 3 bgl files into addon scenery folder.

I'm (nearly) always interested  ;) but it looks like FSX, and I only have FS9.  :-/
Is it made to also work there?

Good work as far as I can see from the shot!

Yeah, I think it's only going to work with fsx... I'm not sure..

Well, I could save the airport file as fs9 format.. but the scenery may be an issue. Doesn't fs9 use something other than a .bgl file for its scenery? I can't remember. Havn't had it installed for a very long time. The scenery is from the stock fsx library.. those objects may not exist in the fs9 library. (I doubt it). I would have to bundle those scenery objects with it.. then maybe it would work. I'm not sure how to do that. The airport should work.. but you wouldn't get any buildings or the dock or anything. I'll look into it to see what can be done.

I appreciate it though.

Yes, FSX really has different libraries I think, but scenery has also been bgl in FS9.

As long as you have the right library installed, and the bgl files (afcad for fs9) are converted to fs9, I think it should work in fs9. I think ;D
