It might be an idea to try a few existing files before creating your own. It's not difficult but don't try to run before you can walk. My little walkthrough might help. FS2004 Scenery Clinic

Hi, well i am really new at this, I use AFCAD for my airports and EOD for my objects, but i got trouble with this:
a) Airport doesnt appear on the game (It is on the list, but when i "spawn" in it i am not able to see it)
b)How do i put my EOD buildings in my new airports?
c)I cant convert my EOD buildings into .api formats, why? (It says [insert name of building here] .api path doesnt exist)

It's a while since I did any of this but here's a few basics. First check what Gypsy_Baron said early on in this thread.
You can use AFCAD2 to create your runway, COMMs and NAVAIDS.
If you want any buildings or other objects you will also need to use something like RWY12 or SceneGenX to /create/place them.

AFCAD2 can create visual runways in FS9 only but otherwise it's for laying out the invisible "virtual airport" with parking spaces, taxi tracks etc. for the AI traffic. I haven't used either but I think RWY12 & SceneGenx are used to place the default scenery objects.

If you use EOD to create your own API scenery objects these will have to be imported into a conventional scenery design program like Airport for Windows or FS Scenery Creator. I haven't used EOD for a long time but you might have to save the project in a different format before it automatically creates the API. Read the instructions carefully.*

*PS. http://www.echos.ch/eod/help/das_erste_objekt.htm
Save the tree as an EOD file with the filename 'mytree.eod' and then in the file menu, click on 'Create API'. Eod should have created an api file in the EOD directory (if you didn't change it in the options) called 'mytree.api'. You can now use this file in Airport 2.6. (or another scenery design program which supports API files.)

ok, that's cool. I am installing RWY12 right now.

And by the way, each time i do click on "create api" it says that it doesnt have a path :(

You might need to set the paths from EOD options before you can use it. http://www.echos.ch/eod/help/konfigurieren.htm
EOD is no use to you if you don't know how to use Airport or FS Scenery Creator. API macros cannot be used with the later scenery design applications like RWY12. There are plenty of existing API macros posted in the Design section here at Simv that you can try before creating your own.

When using Chuck Domes Runway Generator Utility Program....

http://www.simviation.com/fsdesign_scenery4.htm

After saving the .bgl file it will appear in the FS 2004 main folder.
Give it a name of your choice, eg; "Manston airstrip".
It will now be: "Manston airstrip.bgl".

Generate a new folder. Call it "Manston airstrip".
Generate a new Folder. Call it "scenery". Put it into the "Manston airstrip" Folder.
Into the "scenery" folder you have just made put your "Manston airstrip.bgl" file.
...sorted....

Now in the opening menu in FS 2004 go to Settings > Scenery. Click on "Add new scenery".
Browse to the Main FS 2004 Scenery File. Locate your "Manston airstrip" folder. Click on it.
It will now be added to the list of scenery under the name "Manston airstrip"... ;D...!
It will now appear when you start FS 2004, (and if you have FS Navigator it will also appear on the GPS Map)... ;)...!

Give that a try... ;D...!

Paul... 8)...!

The same principle applies whenever adding new scenery.

a) Check the coordinates. Maybe you placed it in an ocean.  ;)

b) Rwy12

c) Documentation for Rwy12, includes a tutorial and FAQ. From the Rwy12 Team.

At that time [1909] the chief engineer was almost always the chief test pilot as well. That had the fortunate result of eliminating poor engineering early in aviation.
