This should be in the scenery design board... ;)

I've used FSSC, but I think you can use Afcad to do it

You can use AFCAD2 to create your runway, COMMs and
NAVAIDS.
If you want any buildings or other objects you will also need
to use something like RWY12 or SceneGenX to /create/place
them.

WARNING: It can be addictive....once you start you may not
                 be able to stop :)

AFCAD will make all of the runways, taxiways, parking spaces all of the nav aids and the control tower. But it will not make any buildings. 8)

You have no idea how much trouble I had locating this again... :o...!

Runway Generator Utility:

http://www.simviation.com/fsdesign_scenery4.htm

An excellent, simple little program enabling you to place a tarmac/concrete/dirt/grass airstrip of your choice anywhere, with just a couple of entries in a box.... ;D...!

By Chuck Dome for FS 2000/CFS/'98/'95....but also works for FS 2002 and FS 2004... ;D...!

File size a measly 436k.... ;)...!

I use it for all my private airstrips...
Well worth a try....

The difference is, with Chuck Domes's version, you don't need an instruction manual to carry out the very simple function such as generating a simple landing strip with a couple of clicks of the mouse....;)...!

I make up my missions in notepad or wordpad so I keep a seperate copy of what I make for runway settings (buildings, etc.). However, I've been restricted to repainting the texture programmed at the coordinates for the particular (WW1) runway. Is there a means to use Chuck's old runway generator without the markers/lights for these dirt, mud and grass airfields (and some of these planes seem to need a wider than normal runway when taking off in a formation)?

You might find Chuck's STACFS utility more useful for CFS. http://www.simviation.com/cfs1utilitites2.htm It works with the default static objects, runways etc.

Placing objects isn't so much the issue as runway placements (so the aerial view doesn't look like everyone's running over buildings, trees, etc.)
