switched switches

i just downloaded a new aircraft and it didnt come with gauges. and i dont have the ones it has. so i changed them to ones i do have but now the do not open any windows. how do you program them to open windows?

Most likely the switches aren't pointing to the right "ident" for the windows.

Find one or more other aircraft that use the same switches.  Examine panel.cfg  to see which window is opened by which switch.  Change the "ident" of your new aircraft's windows to match the existing ones that work.

This, for example, opens a window when you click on the GPS icon:

ident=GPS_panel

and sometimes they use numbers, like this:

ident=31
