I did a small airport to put inside the Arkansas hole a few weeks ago and uploaded it.  It's nothing special; just a runway and a few simple objects placed for a little feel.  Since then I have found it at both Avsim and Flightsim.com and it's not with my permission.  Don't get me wrong, I don't really care; but it was done without my knowing it.  Someone apparently liked it enough to want to see it distributed.  They even used my name and gave me credit.  I don't know whether to be flattered or offended...

I've found some of the old files I posted for CFS1 on sites all over the Web. They're unrestricted Freeware so providing nobody charges for them & I'm credited as author I'm flattered that anyone would think they're worth having. The only way to prevent this happening is not to upload them in the first place.

I don't know if you did this or not, but when you make up a package for say here for everyone to download, you should incluce in that package some copywrite info. Example........." You may not upload this file for download at other sites WITHOUT my express permission". Whatever you want to put in there.

Hopefully, you would be asked before someone did such a thing. BUT, there are no guarantees.

There are those who seek fame and others, such as you, for whom fame is an anathema.

However, clearly your reputation as a scenery designer has gone before you and soon it will be your turn to step proudly out of the shadow, onto the World stage, to take the recognition, applause and, yes, adulation that you so richly deserve.
