Scenery problem

Postby hsvfan » Sun Oct 03, 2004 9:06 pm

Hi all
I have made a small scenery file in gmax for FS2004 but the scenery does not appear.
The file exports to bgl ok and I have added the new scenery and restarted flightsim and the building database window starts ok.
When I go to where I put the coordinates in for my scenery it is not there.

I made a very large  cylinder and placed that in the same spot and the top only just appears throught the ground.

I have added land class scenery files and was wondering if that could be  causing the problems. If so how do you get scenery you have created to appear if you are using landclass scenery

Cheers

All scenery has a densisty level as to when it can be seen. Check your display slider it is probably set to normal move it to ether dense or very dense. Note this will effect your frame rates.
Before you export the scenery set it to display with normal or sparse density. It might not look as good but it helps with the frame rates if this is an issue.

Hi garymbuska,

When I exported the sceney I made sure that the display was set to normal.

When I first exported a trial version of the scenery, I placed it near my home town's major airport and it appeared ok.
It was when, I went to place it where, I want the scenery to eventually go, which has an altitude of about 400ft  that  I could not see it. How do I fix that

Cheers Rhys
