AFCAD object exclude switch...HELP!!

Postby darrellparkhill » Wed Mar 31, 2004 4:48 pm

I just built an airport using AFCAD, and I can't figure out how to put in an object exclude switch. Can somebody help a brother out?
Thanks

Thanks for the help. I went to the M$ site, and got the instructions. I can isolate the area to exclude, but I don't know which file to open to do it. I use notepad to open the new airport .bgl file I built, but it comes out as jibberish.

Basically, I am still lost, and I have trees and buildings all over my taxiways and runways...

You can not open a bgl file with notepad unless you under stand jibberish.  Like I said  open the scenery cfg file if this is a new airport than the area you want to look for will be the last entry in this file. It is here and only here you can put the switches  :o :P
Just make sure you put them toward the end but not past the last line.

ow about trying out ExcBuilder version 2.0 for FS2004 by Paavo Pihelgas. It is available on Avsim and can create as many small exclude files  in a scenery area as is necessary. It works with FSconnect (also on Avsim) so you slew around the unwanted object in Flight Sim and the coordinates are captured to ExcBuilder. Clearing the shrubbery can be a pain, but it doesn't usually grow back.

darrellparkhill  If you haven't added any addtional scenery then the file that AFCAD placed in your scenery.cfg file will be the last one in the list.
