No more repaints....

[color=#000000]Well, it seems Paint Shop Pro 7 try and buy version does have an expiration date. I've been using PSP for around twenty years and don't really want to have to learn a new format. I would buy 7 if I could but the try and buy link or purchase process did not work. Guess Corel doesn't want us to have it. I found it on Amazon.com but it was right at $100 US and I just can't afford to spend that much. So it's either download and learn one of the freeware programs that probably are not compatible with my filters or quit painting. And right now, I do not even have the ability to resize screenshots.

If God intended aircraft engines to have horizontally opposed engines, Pratt and Whitney would have made them that way.

I suspect that PSP would be a lot more expensive from the manufacturer than Amazon.

There's a lot of excellent fully freeware graphics editing software around nowadays. It's just a matter of trying them to see which one suits you. Here's a couple to start with. Both have a UI similar to PSP7.

Serif PhotoPlus SE http://www.freeserifsoftware.com/software/photoplus/

Photo Pos Pro (Note this is now Freeware) http://www.photopos.com/

I do not even have the ability to resize screenshots. :(

Try one of the free programs from my tutes. http://205.252.250.26/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?num=1268695162

I got the 30 day trial of Photoshop CS5 Extended and it is amazing, but I am having a hard time going back to Paint.NET.
So I think I'll try photo pos pro because it looks pretty good until I can save up the $200 for PS. :-/

How about trying Paint.NET? It's really cool. It supports layers, and can also open photoshop .psd with the plugin available. I find it useful for doing repaints AND copping and saving screenshots. It's simple yet powerful.

I've used GIMP for a long time for repaints/skins. It's free as well and as good as Photoshop.
