A great entry on the design ladder, repainting can be rewarding & fun! Learn how here! (Not for repaint requests)

I guess I messed up...

Hello,

I tried my first ever re-paint today, but something went wrong.  Can somebody tell me what I may have done wrong?

Now that is bizarre, it looks like the bitmap has been rotated 90 degrees!  Can you post a pic of your C172_T.bmp file?  In .jpg form of course  :)

It should look like this:

Experience is what you get when you don't get what you wanted in the first place  ;D

Welcome to the world of repaints!  What you learned by doing this one, will make the next one easier.  I was really pleased with my first repaint at the time, but I look back now and I know I could do a better job of it.  That's the way it will always be.  Just remember to have fun with it along the way (I have a couple of repaints with smiley faces  :) :) :) on the wings just because I felt like it).

Nice lookin' repaint . . . I like the swirls you're used.

Your 'mistake' is similar to one I made but it taught me by using the incorrect filename, one can have any (extended) texture cover the assigned area. I spent the better part of an afternoon fooling around with this . . .
