When I attached them to the email the file name probably changed, all spaces and figures to _.

The easiest method would be to zip up your Texture.1 folder & attach that to the E-mail. The file names should not then be changed.

Maybe the complete folder was too big. You could zip the individual textures & send them.

The total zipped folder was 1.3MB, I tried zipping them individuality but that did not work ether.

This does not really mater, its not the file names that are the problem.

Right. Let's start from the beginning. Make sure the edited files in your Texture.1 folder are saved in the correct format with their correct file names. Then check the new Aircraft.cfg entry is correct. The smallest typo will be enough for it not to work.

If this was me I would save them in the original format, whatever that might be. You said you're using Extended 32bit 888-8 which should be fine. You could also use DXT1 or DXT3 Extended BMP formats with FS9.

All I did was rename the textures, and now they work just fine on my PC.

That looks fine from a quick glance. Since my last reply I downloaded the X-15 & quickly repainted it myself. I saved the repainted textures in DXT3 format, the same as the originals. I used the same Texture.1 folder as you for the repaint. It works just fine. Here's my modified Aircraft.cfg entries.

I just checked out your shot again.

It looks to me that your new folder is incorrectly named Texure.1.
Rename it to Texture.1 & it should work.
