How do you copy a whole image (PSP7)

Postby SaVas » Tue Jul 12, 2005 7:40 am

OK so Im still learning this whole repainting thing...

I have figured out how to copy bits and pieces of an image in PSP7 so I can paste onto my repaint, but is there a way to copy the whole logo of something instead of each piece of it?

If you need more clarification, let me know but at the moment I havent had enough coffee

OK, let;s get started!  :D

Basically, if you just get out the Magic Wand and set the tolerance level to something high, it'll most probably select the whole logo, considering it's a similar colour throughtout its body.

If something isn't a constant colour, then get out the Freehand Selection tool, by holding down on the Selection Tools section.

That should do it. If you have any more problems, don't hesitate to ask more questions, all of us here are happy to help!  ;D

Cheers.  :)

I prefer the beziers tool (not sure if it's called that in PSP). Just click around the image and Copy (then paste)

For the Person thats learning to repaint still,

I've been painting for 2 years,

1.5 years on psp9 and .5 years on photoshop

If you want to use a Program like psp, just use Photoshop.

all my Repaints turn out great and the color is better than psp,

just as long as you have dxtbmp, you can put any a/c texture into a paint program.

i use dxtbmp to use Photoshop CS 8.

In Canada, Photoshop is ten-times more costly

Photoshop CS 8 is about $700.00 per program/license.

I downloaded the demo for the 12 days or something like that.

Told a friend i had it then he came over to my house and put a crack serial code on it.

for any painter i reccemend Photoshop.  I have yet to tyr FSRepaint. tried the demo but didnt work well.

Does any one have FSD v2. I've wanted to buy the FSD version where you can create your aircraft then paint it once done. and i wanted to know how it was done and if FSD makes aircraft creating easier than GMAX.

i found out with gmax you have to download this one other program from microsoft in order to convert gmax to this one format.

does FSD v2 have the repaint feature besides just creating? Does it convert your files right away for you can just add them to FS2004? Is it easier than gmax?
