Photoshop Elements

When I create textures in photoshop, i have to save and then open up jasc to get them to work in fs9.  If I don't, they do not work.  Is there a simpler way to get them to work just using photoshop? ???

First guess. What format are you saving? Check that they are saving to .bmp FS9 needs 16 or 32 bit colour should be no difference between Photoshop and PSP.

All my repaint work is done in PSP, using .PSD files, which i then open in Imagetool, and save as 32bit (or DXT3) bitmaps for FS to read. might want to try that, (you can just use photoshop)

Try saving as Targa (TGA) file 32 bit then convert using DXTBmp as follows.

Open DXTBmp
Load Targa with alpha (open the file you saved as targa)

Save extended Bitmap (save as your aircraft texture)

and thats it!
(until you start doing reflective textures)
UPLOAD IMAGE TO SIMV!
