FS Repaint and cockpit view

Postby stevewilson » Thu Nov 11, 2004 11:25 pm

I am a new newbe when it comes to repaints, and am having a little trouble with the views from the cockpit.

I don't see my new textures for the cockpit, whit I do see is the textures that I transfered from the stock Baraon to my variant. External views are fine.

I have already tried painting the damage textures but that didn't help.

So please can anyone tell me what I am missing?

Are you talking about the panel view or the VC view?

The panel view comes straight out of the panel folder.

If it isn't the panel view, then make sure you have repainted EVERY texture that has any exterior parts in it.  That's all you can do.

Ender,  Actualy I'm talking about both. when in the 2d view if I look out the side I see the old paint sceam, and it that way in from the VC as well.

I've painted everything there is to paint. This is for the Baron 58. There are only two texture files that appear in FS Repaint one is the standard textures and the other is of damage textures, and as I said I have painted both.

Well, I think the problem is that you're trusting FSRepaint too much.

Go take a look at the texture folder in the Baron file.  There are 3 texture files in there.  You must repaint ALL OF THEM.

Instead of using FSRepaint to convert the files, try getting either DXTBmp or ImageTool to convert them, then repaint them.

Last night I found what the problem was. There are two views with FS Repaint, External, and Internal. External is the default and when you select internal you get a whole new set of textures.

I have looked the programs you mentioned but was totaly lost, at least with FS Repaint I am getting started in repaint and will progress up ward, I hope. I also have PSP 8.

Thanks for the help and advice.
