Your paint-job suggestions needed

Postby deadnight » Thu Aug 14, 2003 1:33 pm

I've been re-painting the beech baron 58 and kind of got stuck on ideas. So far I have the wings painted. I was thinking of a sky-blue for the larger portion of the plane and maybe yellow for decorative details.. Maybe a large yellow stripe down the center top of it. I'm not totally sure though. What do you think?  Heres a screenshot of what I have so far.

A burnt orange would look really good with that green.  Maybe an orange double stripe running fore to aft (or front to back, or whatever) on one of the wings.

That is an excellent idea! Using orange never even crossed my mind. Thanks for the suggestions.

I want a copy of this repaint when you are done with it.  I don't have one with green for the Baron yet. :)

Sure. I plan on putting it on here on simviation for a download. I have the main body painted orange now. Half of it has touch ups done. Now I need to zoom in on the other half and clean it up a bit. I think I might paint the elevators on the wings orange too. It's looking pretty nice so far.

Here is the finished aircraft. I know I should probably put this in the screenshot section but I have a problem that is consistant with this thread.

If you look right around the engine on the left. You can see a little bit of orange and white around it. I know the orange is from one of the orange areas overlapping that part of the bitmap. But I can't find where exactly it's at! Same for the little bits of white around the engine. I've colored everything in blue using the paint fill tool to make sure their is not a spec of white left but it still shows a bit of white there. Any ideas anybody?

Anyhow, this is probably the best it's going to get unless I can figure out how to fix that problem. I still have to paint the view of the wings from the inside view of the airplane yet.

I don't know what is wrong with it exactly, but I would expect it is something to do with the way it has been exported.  What paint program are you using?  If you want,
