TRANSPARENT

Without using all those fancy alpha channels, what is the transparency color for FS2002? I would really like the new F-15 to not have a drop tank.

:)Could you be a little more specific. Is this a model you are working on or is it a plane that you want to modify? That information would help in trying to give you an answer.

Steve-O. It's not possible to remove parts of an existing design by using transparent textures. Unless the part itself is transparent this would simply remove the texturing to reveal the material colour underneath it. You're stuck with that tank.

I recently downloaded Kimitaka Nishida excellent F-15, and I was wondering why it had different models with different amounts of drop tanks, but not a model with no drop tanks. So being the fool I am, I tried to put transparent textures over the drop tank textures. However, I can't seem to get it to work.

As I said in my earlier reply, unless the designer removes them himself & releases a version without them you're stuck with the tanks.
