I can't get my engine to rotate even after all this time.
I know that one can model a disk and map a compressor section bit map to it, or model the compressor blades (which I did). How ever I could not get them to rotate. I have been all through the MakeMDL SDK and could not find a part name that worked. Can anyone help me out here?

This is for FS9 since your using MakeMDL correct?
What do you have the part named now? Wouldn't prop0_slow, still, etc, work even if it is jet engine?

Oh darn ,I'm going to have to delete my other reply YOU are using FS9-SDK
Harold in FS9-SDK you won't need to make the spinning

Thanks for the help. I had made the compressor and turbine sections of my engine as individual parts and named them as such. So the Compressor was named prop0_still_compressor and the Turbine was prop0_still_turbine. You can do this with wheels and other key frame animation after all. It seems those names would not work. I deleted the suffix from the names but now had two parts with the same name - ok, lets see what that does... I thought that would not work but it did????? It's amazing how much more realistic the aircraft looks now that that big compressor stage is spinning!
Almost time to upload a new version.
