You can get GMax from Turbosquid.com. It is the best freeware aircraft designer out there. You will need FSX deluxe to export models because it has the FSX SDK.

If you need further help, just ask.  ;)

ADK2, while a reasonably good program for modelling - for FS2002, is sorely lacking in FSX compatibility (considering that AD2K2 was dropped even before FSX came along.

If you have FS-X Deluxe, and have installed the FS-X SDK, the gmax executables (program, help files, tutorials) were also placed in a gmax folder within the SDK folder.

You WILL need to update the SDK to the version of FSX you have.  At a minimum, you will need to update the SDK to SDK SP1A, since that's the SDK version that actually has the gmax gamepack (i.e., the necessary plugins to convert your gmax project into an FSX model.)

cman146:

What version of FS do you have?  If you have FS2004, it's on Disc 4

If you have FS-X Deluxe, install the SDK and you will find the gmax executables in the SDK folder.

YOU DO NOT HAVE TO DOWNLOAD IT  FROM Turbosquid!!

(Although you will have to register it there)

Ahh...but is it not your moral duty to obfuscate & confuse?
