Milton, thank you very much! I was wondering how to link the lights! Thanks to you I can do it now!
You want me to make you a sound pack? :)

Skoker, that could be awesome! The nearest I can get to sound is playing guitar...hehe. I wil appreciate it if you could help!

Do you have a particular plane you would like it to sound like?  Or I can do a generic jet sound.  If you need a panel I do that too! ;)

Skoker said he'd do a panel, but I could too. Only if he wants.  :)

Hmm the sound pack is a secret...LOL

Skoker offered to do a sound pack, and as far as I know he is good on track with it, I am thankfull  :-)

With the panel, I am going to need help later. My Idea is to make the VC first, and then make a 2D from the VC. In my opinion it is easier to make a 2D panel from  a 3D than to try and recreate a 2D in 3D  ?

so if someone have any info on how to start a VC it will be much appreciated :-)

I always did 3D first then I went to 2D since I always found the 3D was more complicated (obviously) and all i had to do was take screen shots of the 3D and use the images to make the panels...ill see if i can dig up some of the planes and images I did this methoud with, even though they were more FS 2000 and 2002 era models/planes but still same should work for FSX no??

also if you still want people willing to test planes for you and possibly help with repainting or getting other color schemes for it I wouldn't mind lending a hand, been awhile but I still know my way around the CFG files and then some :)

Ok this is quite odd, every time I modify the texture (adding my own type of color scheme and designs) the exterior disappears and all I see is the cabin interior area...could someone help me sort out what may be going on? I am trying to use FSrepaint V2 for FSX at the time, since I dont have any of my photo shop stuff (or gimp) installed and I dont want to take the time to reinstall the programs at the moment (just want to hammer out some ideas real fast before I spend time with installing photo shop and that stuff)

your biz jet, i would post a screen shot but my system uses 1600 X what ever (1200 i think?) and I don't have any decent programs to cut down the size with out messing the image...

PS: if you want me to Ill lend a hand and help you out as best as I can, I also have a friend who does this stuff with me so I may ask him if he would like to help from time to time as his life permits :)

EDIT: removed the bad texture and the model shows up ok (blank white) so im not really sure what is happening except for the fact that FSRepaint is causeing this issue to occure (which in all my years of messing with FSrepaint V1 and V2 this has never happened at all)...so im a bit perplexed and I been at this stuff since the days of FS95 and FS98...

oh not sure if this will make a difference but I am using it in FSX

the problem may be with the texture not being named correctly, and/or not converted to the correct extended bitmap format with alpha channel? as in the readme file I dont reccomend repaints now, as I didn't tried it myself on this model myself yet ;), but If you can tell me to what extended bitmap you converted it, or even zip and email me the texture I will gladly have a look. . have to be sorted out anyway. email me at johan@jdsarc.co.za

Thanks

no, oddly enough DXT3 worked just fine, I believe DXT3 and that are the same or at least close enough to each other the two kinda go hand in hand, (yay)

Least I know what will work correctly on it :) I think I may try my hand at making a few unique ideas, hope you don't mind me stripping all emblems off the plane and having at it.

I do not mind if you go mad for personal use right now. the main reason I dont want repaints posted now is because somtimes I go back to screenshots other testers post to see figure out something, for example if I want to move the main landing gear, the textures need to be adjusted) and sometimes it include the textures as well as their positions, and if the correct textures I've supplied is applied, It helps a lot  ;)

but for your personal use, go mad!  :-)
