The Construction of a Custom Plane

Postby Shadow » Wed Dec 31, 2008 10:01 pm

If I posted all the info and answered every question answered about my (or should I say your custom plane because you built it) plane would some one build it? I could put in diagrams or something if you wanted me to?

no the vc is part of the model file and the model file can only be edited by the designer, and the (protecting) is not done by the designer
What do I do you ask? I struggle! Then destroy! Then try to put back together what I just broke on accident.....

A VERY qualified yes.

Presuming you're modelling for FS-X and using the FS-X SDK (and not adapting a model made for FS2004 with the FS2004 SDK tools), then "yes"

I see what you mean with that...

example: if i put a small airplane VC in my jet I would see a propeller from inside the VC but not out side...

VC (interior model) swapping between two, TRUE FSX models is technically possible..

Aside from what Felix mentioned.. there is the problem of reference point too.  Like.. the Lear VC will work in the 737.. but if you pulled up to something (like a hold-short line) from a VC reference.. you could switch to exterior view and see 1/2 the 737 out on the runway ..lol  :D

Considereing that it has to be two FSX native models.. and that almost all FSX native models HAVE a VC.. it's like a potential solution to a problem that does not exist..

One thing I'm gonna try though.. is to make the default Dash-8 flyable.. and use the VC from my Saab 340..  Aside from having to see the word "Saab" in the cockpit..  THAT should be a workable match..

Is there any way to easily attach/make large jet engines for a passenger plane? (In Gmax)...

Come on .... Shaddow.  You are trying to get a free ride here.  Just get down to it and study the tutorials.  You will get a better product in the end.  This is not a five minute endevor.  You will have to invest the time, but you will be glade you did.

And one other thing... how far do I scale it down from real size?

I don't want to finish something, import it and realise the wheel is as big as the runway...
