I am new to making my own aircraft in FSX. Does anyone have any suggestions for a freeware item that will allow you to make, design your own fictional airplane? thanks

For FS-X you WILL need the FS-X Deluxe version, because it has the basic SDK installation that you will need (and then update).
It aslo installs the gmax executables... :)

There are only two ways to get the FSX SDK. Either buy a copy of the Deluxe edition or a copy of Acceleration...
I thought that the Acceleration only added the SDK update(s), but that you still needed FS-X Deluxe to do the initial SDK installation?

According to my source from a former ACES dev, there is a special version of SP1 that is supposed to install for those who only have the basic FSX Standard version... :P
