Tinkering with this again... At this rate, I may finish this in time for FSXX...
I'm looking for a way to merge these parts together so they look joined instead of tacked on. Any thoughts?

I would suggest a boolean (union) and the chamfer the "joint"

the boolean technique is valid tho it has been know to be "dirty"... as in it
