Hopefully you have FS-X Deluxe.  That is the only version that comes with the SDK installation, which you need.  Of course, you then need to download and install the SDK SP1 to get the latest and greatest tweaks.

IUF you have FS-X Deluxe, install gmax.  The latest version is gmax 1.2, and that, along with the tutorials and help files, come in the \SDK folder of Disc 1.

Given that you have some experience, you should still be able to breeze through the gmax tutorials, to get the feel of the program, and then tackle some projects.

READING  THE SDK DOCUMENTS IS ESSENTIAL!  There are some very good examples and pointers on how to do things.
