Did you animate the bones with the I-K Solver?  Did you create and edit the envelopes?

I am not sure about the IK Solver, do I need one? As for the envelops, I have set them up and the animation, bones, mesh and all, works in gmax.

Two more questions...

Did you add a "Skin" modifier to your mesh, and then "add the bones list" to the mesh?

If you've checked the Envelopes, then I suppose you have added the "Skin" modifier, but it never hurts to ask... ;)

Is your mesh object "closed?" Meaning, is does the object have manifold geometry?  That is, no open edges?
