Yep.  I dont think thats a REAL plane, but another example for big floats would be the XC-47, the C-47 on floats.  I believe that the floats it used are the worlds biggest floats, Edo model 540s if I remember correctly.

That is a realy good looking 130 with the floats on there. One of these days I'll get some time to fly it. ;) Seeing that picture gave me an idea of how to do the floats on the Dash 8. I think they will extend down from the wingbox. That way they'll have good structural support and wont take away from the passenger cabin. Also I wont have to build bulges on the fuselage. It will also make for an interesting looking aircraft. Thanks again for the insperational link. Greg
