Gmax on 2 monitors

Postby Moach » Fri Jun 17, 2005 10:24 pm

hi again...

now that i've moved i have space to put my 2 monitors side by side...

now i want to know if there is a way to have Gmax display on both of them

i tried to do it myself, but without any good results, so if anyone has managed it, please tell me ;)

i wanted to have the perspective view on the main screen and the tools and other views on the other, but i couldn't find a way to do this properly

c ya

If you have Windows XP, you have it in not the maximized position, but the other one, that you can stretch...then just drag it over to the other window...

that is what i tried to do... but Gmax doesn't seem to remember the screen layout when you close and open it again

i tried using the "save UI layout" function but it didn't work

what i wanted to know was if gmax already had some sort of 2 monitor layout mode or something, but i'm guessing it doesn't...

anyways, now i have it set in a way i like... i have the main gmax screen on the first monitor, and all "popup" screens, like the material editor, navigator and UVW unwrap screens in the secondary one...

this way i never have to close them down, which makes everything much more efficient

thanks anyways for the help...

Configure your layout
like you want it (UI, Windows on second monitor,
unit setup) and than just save your scene as gmaxstart.gmax .. now max will open this scene by default everytime you start it. It should cover everything.. incl.
windows on a second monitor objects you place in your scene and so on (I only have experience with 3dsmax
but 'I
