VC animation part names for FS'02

Postby JABO-DEV » Wed May 18, 2005 5:03 pm

Is there a document out there with the FS2002 interior part names for animation? Thought they would be the same, but I'm pretty sure that's my problem with the throttle and mixture levers is. I'm using " lever_throttle#, lever_mixture#" from the FS2004 SDK, but niether work, It could be something I did in G-Max but the"Lever_Pedals_L_R" works great on the rudder pedals. Thanks I again for helping out a NOOB  :)

Yes - check the FS2002 SDK also from the Microsoft site.

IF those lever_throttlexx are in the VC animation section of FS2004 SDK, they require the xml parts processing, which isn't recognized in FS2002.

Thanks again Felix, I didn't see that the FS2002 SDK was still availible :)
if I may ask one more question on the subject (well sorta)
using "lever_stick_fore_aft" and "lever_stick_l_right" can I make an old time floor stick?
right now I have both "lever_stick_fore_aft" and "lever_stick_l_r" as seperate objects, but of course when ya fly, one stick responses to left/right inputs, and the other moves fore/aft, could I link one to the other and make one invisible? I would test it but I'm unsure how to link objects in g-max at the moment, but im reading "the supid idiots guide to G-max" bet I find the answer to half of the problem, that is, if you guys do it this way ??? and thanks

Give the lever one of the names.  Link that to a small object at the pivot point named the other.

I have the FS SDK's for FS2002 I can email if you will provide the address.
