Ok, as some of you have seen, I've just spent the last week and a half designing a full sized Whitestar. The last major portion left is texturing it. So this is my problem. I have a basic cloud texture i was going to try to give the ship its purple organic look it has. But to no success the texture doesn't show up on the model. I tried adding the UVW map modifier but that doesn't work either. Id there some major difference in what im doing that it wont texture properly. I originally trained on 3DS MAX 5 and am wondering if there is an extra step for gmax that i have missed. If some one can help its greatly appreciated.

putting forward my slite skills in texturing i would say
go to the material modifier and click the show map in viewport if you havnt allready tryed that. Maybe your texture are there but you need to over wright gmax there may be a crunch

Yeah I already tried that. But even if the textures are there how do I tweak them to make them look better if I can't see them? There must be some difference between gmax and max 5 that im not aware of.

Did u select the object and press apply ?
did you click that small checkered box in the material editor ?
