New to GMAX... bit of a size issue

Postby igorski » Fri Jan 28, 2005 2:07 am

OOPS just found out how, so no need to reply unless you have a handy tip etc for a beginner  :)

Hi all, I've just started experimenting with gmax, made a simple modle, and exported it to FS9.1 ok, but its HUGE. On export to mademdl gmax says that my modle is not stored in meters, is this the problem? If so, or otherwise how do I get my model to the right size? - I have the grid in gmax set to meters.

Thanks

Yes that is the problem. FS9 models must be in meters. Go to Preferences, and set it to Meters. Currently it is at Inches. That should fix the problem :)

Specifically, under Customize->Preferences, set you r "System Unit Scale" to 1 unit = 1 meter.

The actual units you use in your model, set under Customize->Units setup can be in English, Metric, or custom setup.
