I am not familiar with FSDS but I have to hand it to you: great exterior model and panel.   :D Does the VC have any working gauges? I see you have the emarciano radar gauge in your aircraft.. where can I download it by the way? Anyways great work!

i use gmax, so i can't help you other than by telling you those parts are work with keyframe animation (same as landing gears).

are you going to use the cowl flaps to close the air intakes as in real 29:s?

Juri, the upper air intakes works with the thrust and the down air intakes works with the tailhook.

If you are going to do the aux intakes... do it right

quote from http://www.faqs.org/docs/air/avmig29.html
To permit operation from rough fields, each main intake has a door that closes whenever the main landing gear is in touch with the ground, with the engines obtaining airflow for takeoff or landing from spring-loaded louvres on top of the wingroots. Pilots state that the transition between the louvers and the front intakes is smooth and almost unnoticeable.

You should look for the variables that have something to do with the gears touching (rear ones)

Ivan I know but that isn't all true.

I was talking with a peruvian mig-29's pilot, and in the book "Jane's How to fly and fight in the Mikoyan MiG-29".

They told me that the main air intakes's doors can be open when the plane is on the ground, is preferable that they are closed for the FOD, but when the danger vanished they can open it.

The upper air intakes open when the airspeed is under 200 km/h, and when the AOA is too high, so the mig can open they equal on the ground as in the sky.

I was trying to control the upper air intakes with a xml gauges however i don't know how make it, so I must
make that they respond to the thrust.

i bet the main intake doors were very useful when during  mig29's first visit to the west (rissala air show -86) one of the pilots landed with too much speed, the safety pin of the brakeshute snapped, and the fighter overran the runway into the safety net... ;)

Hi
The there are only 2 exits in FS these are opened by shft+e+1 or 2 the door_passenger, cargo_passenger are just another  name for f_canopy r_canopy ie they work on the same key combo.Cowl flaps I maybe wrong on this but think they only work on prop engined aircraft.endcaps are a damage visual operation, any part tagged with end caps will show when the parent child part is broken off, for more info on fsds and braking parts have a look here
http://www.freeflightdesign.com/tips/breakable.txt
it deals with CFS2 so ignore the dp stuff the basics are the same for FS9

As for the hud you need to put a gauges polly in the hud glass area in the VC (have a look at fsds help re building a VC) I did this in my Mirage III0 http://www.simviation.com/fs2004military38.htm
the gunsite switch's switch on the hud(I tagged the hud gauges polly with a preprocess of logo lights on) and cycle through the diff functions, feel free to use any of the xml gauges (except the eject gauge as this is not mine)
cheers
Warwick

PS just got ya email ;)
