Damage Effects? Parking Brakes? & MiG-29 Swifts

Postby Berserk » Thu Dec 16, 2004 11:29 pm

Hi everybody

I want to make that my mig can be damage when he crashes with something. I've tried with l/r_wing in the "aircraft damage" category but it never works, allways says "Building crash" however the wing is still

Is the aircraft your own design? If so are you using FSDS or Gmax? Using CFS2?

You have to model the break points ie separate parts for the wing inner, outer etc.

In the DP file you then indes them to fail under damage conditions.

See www.cfgse.calebflerk.com He's got all the answers!!!

Don't know about the parking brakes????

Merlin66, thanks a lot for your help, is really valued for me. Yes the mig is my own design, I'm working with FSDS 2.24, I want that the mig can be destroy in both simulators, fs04 and Cfs2/3.

That page is really useful.

Try this
http://www.freeflightdesign.com/tips/breakable.txt
Also for fs9 you need to add
visual_damage=1 to the [fltsim.0] section in the aircraft.cfg

Ivan, Stratobat

Thanks for your interest into my model  ;D ;D
however please wait 2 or 3 days more, I'm fighting with the VC, though David Eckert help me a lot with a special tutorial for that, the gauges appear but the background texture doesn't  ???  :'(

If anyone cheers up to flight someday in formation with the mig someday, please tell me. ;)

More russian metal! Yeeehaw! Now we've got a decent Mig-29 in the works, a MiG-21 and a Su-22. If someone now made a decent MiG-23, I'd be the happiest person on this planet! ;D

Sorry Ivan, It wasn't.
The MiG-29 which was shot down by the Dutch F-16 was the 18106 and my mig is the 18112, close but fortunately wasn't  the same plane. ;)
