gmax import option is greyed out how do i activate

can someone tell me how the import option in gmax is activated everything else is ok including the export option.

What version of gmax do you have?

If you have versioin 1.2, and you installed it correctly, you should be able to see import options for *.dxf, *.3ds and *.shp formats

I suspect you may have either versions 1 or 1.1 ??
