FSDSV2.24 errors

Postby stiz » Wed Nov 17, 2004 5:27 am

I'm building a VC for my Halifax but i'm haveing problems.

I am trying to make the throttles move so when you apply power they go up and when you decreas power they go down. The problem is that when i'm compiling it into an aircraft i get "l_throttle is not a valid name for an animated part".

Does CFS2 allow moveable throttles??

Thanks in advance

You have to use "lever_throttle0" for 1st engine,"lever_throttle1" for 2nd engine and so on.Only four engine available. You find it in "aircraft keyframe animation" (press F2 ->  Part Name -> Browse... )

You have to animate it in the following way :

Keyframe     0 : full throttle
Keyframe   50 : idle
Keyframe 100 : reverse ( if reverse not available on the plane,I used to set this frame for idle, same as the 50. frame)

I never compiled a plane for CFS2,only for FS2004,but i think it use the same part names.

I hope it will help :)

Bad news, Stiz......
CFS2 doesn't support lever etc animation in the VC.
You'll need to save that for FS9
You can get the control column to move, and canopy etc but not the operating levers ie throttle, u/c .
