Postby gregbrown » Fri Oct 15, 2004 2:58 am

hi guys , just finished installing nicks prop dust effect on all default propped aircraft in fs9 , what an excellent effect , but some of the ai default aircraft dont switch this effect off after takeoff. the aircraft i am flying does by way of a setting linked to radio height but not those .

I have not tried that one yet. I use his smoke effects and they work great. By any chance is there a different effect for AI aircraft. He uses different smoke effects one for AI and one for standard planes. That might be the problem. If not try contacting him I am sure he can help you out.

The effect is controlled by a gauge added to the panel, which measures the distance from the ground, making the effect (I think).  But none of the default AI aircraft have panels, so they won't work.  Try going and finding a panel that matches the aircraft and then reinstalling the prop dust effects.

This is all conjecture, BTW, as I have never installed the effects.

Have you tried ... writing the author, Nick, about your issue?
