Throttle Quadrant Question

Postby foo_fighter » Mon Oct 11, 2004 6:08 pm

:) ;) ;) :D

Hi guys

I got a bunch of tech questions concerning P-3 Orion (Rick Sasala's fs2002 model)

1. Is it possible to add a throttle quadrant that controls separately each one of the engines?
2. Is it possible to add prop leveler too?

If so, how can I do these tasks???

thanks in advance!

cya

In the VC,  throttles are individually controlled with the name tags Lever_Throttle# replacing # with 0-3.

The prop pitch is adjustable using Lever_Prop_Pitch# as your blade names.

Use prop#_still as a spinner name and link the blades to it.

All these tag names can be found in the Makemdl SDK.

Well, if you're talking about the VC, it isn't really possible to do that, and is against The Modeller's Code ;D.  But seriously, messing with someone's model is only possible if you have the source files it was created with (from Gmax or FSDS or whatever).

If you're talking about the 2D panel, it can easily be done with a program called CfgEdit.  Its a freeware panel editor that can change any aircraft's 2D panel very quickly and easily.  Do a google search for it if you want it.
