Hi Greg,

For editing .air files I would recommend AirEd as it's free and easy to use.
See HERE

Also, just a friendly tip:
Questions relating to aircraft themselves will probably get more replies if in the forum for the sim it's from ie:2002, 2004 etc...

Not having a go at ya, I used to do the same thing.

Cheers mate, hope you fix the problem

Carl out.....

hi guys back again, been looking at the air file for 777300 ps2 party plane by meljet ,curious how ms have separated the aircraft and air files as they are essentially just setting editors, the air file bieng more advanced ofcourse. nonetheless im still unable at this stage to rectify the problem. tried looking at the meljet site to perhaps download again or ask for info to no avail. if you can help please try.  ::)

Greg,
Does the plane vibrate even with the engines not started up? I had this problem with a plane, which was solved by changing the moments of inertia values in the aircraft.cfg file.

If it only happens when the engines are on: hmmm, dunno. Have to think about that one.

thanks for that but no it only vibrates after full startup ie after combustion sound files are being activated not that that neccesarily has anything to do with it . try the extra to see what i mean and multiply that effect by two assuming the extra vibrates on other systems when stationary engine running. not much fun sitting in a virtual 400 tonne dry weight 777 300. not sure which way to go on this one, as i said im reasonably conversant with flight sim and various functions settings etc not as much as most of you guys ofcourse but not sure how to resolve this cheers. please help if able , greg.  ???

Hmm - just tried the Extra, and didn't get any vibration even with the engine running. Never had this trouble with the default 777, or any download. I have a few Meljet 777s and have not seen the vibration issue.

Anybody out there with a suggestion?

I assume that by vibration you are mainly talking about visual signs probably in the gear and wheels, dancing as some call it.

As one with a lower end computer, I see this a lot when the system is stressed by load, in spot view moving around the aircraft.

As a test, after a fresh boot, load the aircraft at a small airport without all the eye candy to see if it still vibrates.

If you still see some of this, then try setting sliders at default and observe the results.

Let us know here.

thanks guys . strange how the extra on this system vibrates then , i tried 1) moments of inertia empty weight coupling adjustment  2) fresh reboot grass strip basic airstrip  3) contact points nosewheel adjustment.
the vibration specifically is located around the front wheel, strut and nose and is evident in all views of the aircraft eg when in cockpit view all the scenery is vibrating severely. could you tell me which page of simv has another meljet 777 300 , might try a fresh download
but if this extra is vibrating im not sure it will help but worth a try. cheers guys. may all your takeoffs and landings number the same.  8)
