Tailhook Animation Speed

Postby Gnome » Sat Jul 31, 2004 5:49 am

I've just completed a tilt-fan aircraft that is almost but not entirely unlike a DOAK 16.  Helicopter flight dynamics but with aeroplane characteristics and I'm using the TAILHOOK to tilt the fans.  They move a little too fast.  Can I alter the speed of deployment/retraction or am I stuck with it?

Thanks.

I'm pretty sure you are stuck with it since all the aircraft seem the same. It's hardcoded in. :P

aceronzo;
Yes, helicopter flight dynamics to get true vertical performance.  (MY helicopter FD to get aeroplane performance ).

saratoga;
Shame.  The speed of fan-duct rotation is roughly double what it would be in real life.  :-(

Oh well, at least it's only a fantasy aircraft.  I'm happy with everything else.

Release in a couple of days.

Thanks folks.
