Hi,
IS it possible to convert models made in FSDS so that they will work fully in FS2004?

If you mean convert models made with FSDS1 or earlier, the answer is basically, no. They will appear in FS2004, but some animations won't work.
FSDS2 models made for FS2002/2004 appear correctly.
